The Elf On The Shelf: A Christmas Tradition is a great book to get for entire family to enjoy especially for those with preschool kids.
The whole idea is that Elf watches children’s behavior during the day, then at the night he flies back to North Pole to report what he found to Santa. He comes back in the morning but would land on a different spot in the house each day.
So each night you read one story from the book to your kids. Then after they go to sleep you move the Elf that comes with the book to a different location. In the morning when they get up they would race downstairs to find the Elf.
Children will enjoy this fun and exciting experience. Every morning they will have something looking forward to. This adds to a joyful and positive discipline aspect to their life. They will learn to be nice and know that Santa’s Elf is watching them.
The Elf on the Shelf comes out different book each year. This year the set includes a light skin, blue eyed North Pole pixie-elf, hardbound children’s book and keepsake box. Children can even register their elf online and receive a special response from Santa.
This is a great Christmas gift for the whole family and can be a tradition for the years to come. Our recommendation is to get it around Thanksgiving time and your children can enjoy the whole fun process all the way to the Christmas eve.
